Biomedical Engineering Department of the ITV

Institution / Head office:
Institute of Textile Technology and Process Engineering Denkendorf
Summary:

The Institute of Textile Technology and Process Engineering (ITV) Denkendorf deals with research projects along the whole textile process chain from raw material to product. The research field Biomedical Engineering belongs to the business unit Innovative and Intelligent Products. The unit’s activities focus on product research and development with particular emphasis on technical textiles, biomaterials, and medical devices.

Description:

ITV Denkendorf has substantial experience of the development and synthesis of polymeric biomaterials and of their structure and surface modification for the improvement of the interfacial layer to the biological tissue. These experiences also cover the development of implants, medical instruments, other medical devices and last but not least processes for regenerative medicine.
