FASILIS monitoring board discusses the future of FASILIS
FASILIS is currently a pilot project with the aim to develop a sustainable transnational facility sharing service. To shape this service, FASILIS has already started thinking of the future even though the second call is still open!
We have had an inspiring first meeting on 9 June 2010 with the FASILIS monitoring in the beautiful old town of Esslingen near Stuttgart, Germany. The main aim of the Monitoring Board is to give the FASILIS partnership strategic advice about the future of the FASILIS project: what can we learn from the current pilot project and what steps should be taken to ensure an endurable system of transnational facility sharing in life sciences in the near future.
Based on a discussion paper with several possible scenario's the Monitoring Board engaged in a lively, inspired and fruitful discussion, ending up with "homework" for the FASILIS partnership: to investigate more in-depth a couple of scenario's. The board will meet again after the evaluation of the voucher pilot, in the course of 2011.
The FASILIS monitoring board consists of 6 members, one representative from each participating region. They have been selected based on their links with regional policy frameworks and their in-depth knowledge of the regional life science clusters.
The FASILIS monitoring board members are: Miranda Wijnstekers (North-Brabant), Michael Broadbent (South-East England), Nancy de Vries (East Netherlands), Petra Püchner (STERN region), Jean-Paul Gérard (Walloon), Morten Jensen (BioPeople).
